Meet The Team

I have always been fascinated by how different an image produced with alternative processes looks like compared to what I had been taught about and was familiar with: spotless, framed, refined, controlled. 

I have been working with cyanotype as my primary medium over the last five years, always with a focus on chemical or digital intervention to create a contemporary interpretation of the historical process. 

Named after The Beatles' song, I recently changed career and got into photography. I work in two darkrooms in Florence and I'm passionate about anything film.

Whether it is 35mm, cyanotypes, film soups, or photograms, I use photography as a medium for documenting my research processes often through self-portraiture.

I'm an artist with a particular interest in early photography and traditional darkroom processes, I have an MA in the history of photography and are mother of four children.
